Ocean Jasper

An extraordinary, multi-coloured gemstone, since ancient times Jasper was considered to be an amulet with great powers. It transmits energy and facilitates cooperation.

Jasper – from the Greek íaspis – is a microcrystalline variety of quartz available in numerous colourations brought about by the different substances that contribute to its formation. Circular patterns, caused by rhyolite formation of this ocean variety, create stunning colour schemes in green shades.

The largest deposits are found in Madagascar, where this stone can only be collected at low tide. The slabs and cut-to-size pieces can include ammonites and nautiloids that embellish compositions, creating unique items for interior decoration.
